Our first and premiere product is the Kegelmaster. This product was carefully designed to target two critical issues in women’s health;

     • Stress Incontinence (there are no ideal health care options      for this problem, no medications that work well, and surgery      should always be a last resort)
     • Reduced pleasure and sensation during physical intimacy

Both of these problems are affected by significant loss of muscle tone in the pelvic floor area. What causes these problems? Clinically, the common cause is loss of muscle tone in the pelvic floor; specifically, the pubococcygeal muscles, which surround the urethra, vagina and rectum. This loss of muscle tone is usually caused by:

     • Trauma from childbirth
     • Trauma from pelvic surgery
     • The aging process

The key to restoring control for women’s health, is the ability to specifically strengthen the PC muscles. While traditional Kegel exercises have long been recommended for this purpose, many women do not find that the exercises are sufficient to address their problem. The reason is that there is limited benefit from Kegel exercise – like any other exercise – if it is performed without resistance. Using resistance in an exercise program makes a significant and rapid difference in the results. (It is the sample principal as weight lifting – you don’t substantially build and strengthen muscle by lifting a 2 lb. weight indefinitely. You keep increasing the weight (resistance) to allow you to increase your progress in developing muscle strength.

We found in our research that use of the Kegelmaster made a substantial difference for women who used it daily. Typically, stress incontinence was improved within 1-2 weeks and eliminated within 1-2 months. Increased sensation and pleasure during intimacy were noticeably improved within 1-2 weeks and keep improving with continued use.

Physicians affiliated with our group conducted informal studies with some of their own patients, to determine whether their patients found the product helpful for addressing stress incontinence. The results were extremely positive – and so Physicians’ Choice USA selected Kegelmaster as its first product for representation.
